Premium Casino Marketing: What Your Don't Know About Attracting High Profile Guests
Casey Cohen, Chief Marketing Officer, The Hippodrome Casino, London
We all love a good story. And when it comes to the narratives of hosts in the gaming industry, we all have a few that certainly make us laugh and that we also learn from. Let us introduce you to Casey Cohen.
Starting his career as a Bell Person in Philadelphia at a corporate hotel, Casey realized the importance of each guest feeling appreciated when they were met at the door by a doorman/bell person, and without knowing it, he learned the concept of “arrivalism.”
Pursuing a career in hospitality, Casey found himself working at The Atlantic City Hilton (formerly The Golden Nugget). As a hotel operator, he grew interested in the pomp and circumstance that was delivered to the VIP guests, and recognizing that this was all orchestrated by the Casino Marketing Department, he worked his way into the Casino Host Department. Through a series of fortunate promotions, some interesting detours along the way such as company mergers, his career took him to Las Vegas as Vice President of Player Development at Caesars Palace.
While his experience taught him how to sell, he also had to be a bit crafty in finding clientele, many of whom were high profile individuals; the culmination was delivering tens of millions of dollars in gaming revenue over a decade’s long tenure. Casey is now the Acting Chief Marketing Officer for the biggest and busiest casino in London, The Hippodrome.
