Launched in 2015, Toby Talks Marketing enables Toby to assist casinos in building strategies that attract guests, engage employees, and grow business. With 23 years in the gaming industry (14 as a marketing consultant), enhanced by decades of experience in the non-profit sector, Toby is currently working on a project-by-project basis for casino clients as a Raving Partner.Updating her hands-on field experience, Toby spent 2014 as the Director of Marketing for Spirit Mountain Casino in Oregon. In 2013, as Chief Marketing Officer for 777 Gaming, she managed the marketing for MAX Casino at Westin Las Vegas and Carson Station Hotel Casino in Carson City. From 2001 through 2012, Toby served as Vice President of Marketing and Client Services for Raving Consulting Company in Reno, Nevada, where she provided marketing expertise, mentoring and training for many commercial, Native American and government casinos throughout North America.
Toby conducts marketing assessments and helps gaming organizations implement customer-focused, strategic marketing plans aimed at driving revenue and creating an outstanding entertainment experience. Toby has frequently spoken at national gaming marketing conferences, and her casino marketing articles have appeared in industry trade publications, including Native American Casino, Indian Country Today, IGWB, Casino Journal, Strictly Slots, Casino Player, and Gaming Today. She has written a book on creating a players club, and wrote and edited a book on casino promotions (both available through Raving Consulting). Toby spent seven years as the Marketing Director for Bronco Billy’s Casino and Buffalo Billy’s Casino in the highly competitive Cripple Creek, Colorado market. Prior to her gaming career, she served for 12 years in management and fund development with the March of Dimes in New York and Colorado. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
