Kathleen McLaughlin is president of The McLaughlin Gaming Group, LLC., and currently the Head of Marketing for NOVOMATIC Americas, one of the largest gaming technology companies in the world. McLaughlin has held key positions in slot manufacturing and technology development with WMS Gaming Inc. She has also held key positions in slot operations, marketing, product development, and strategic sourcing at Caesar’s Entertainment and Las Vegas Sands Corporation. She has served on the International Gaming and Wagering Business (IGWB) and Casino Management magazine technology advisory boards, is the recipient of awards from IGWB, GGB and Nevada Gaming magazine, and was one of the original recipients of the "Great Women of Gaming" award created by Casino Enterprise Management magazine.
With an extensive background as a senior leader for both a critical vendor supplier working with all aspects of the gaming industry in North America, Europe and Asia, and as leader in world class global casino operations and marketing, McLaughlin is an avid student of electronic gaming. Her gift is understanding games and players. She has maximized revenue per square foot as an operator, managed and directed 200 to 4,000 unit openings, created vanguard technology to drive player marketing, negotiated industry-first opportunities, and designed graphics and digital content for mobile games and land based casino products. McLaughlin is known for creating and marketing unique player entertainment brands and experiences. From launching the Monopoly® product line and numerous other high profile slots into the casino gaming market, opening and expansion of over 20 properties around the globe, creating merchandising innovation, and mentoring numerous key executives in the industry, she’s one of the electronic gaming industry’s first and most successful women- which has made her a catalyst for praise, criticism and an interesting conversation.
